POD: The Evacuation of Dunkirk is a total failure by the Allies, as Hitler orders his forces to press onto their positions. About 80% of Allied forces are taken prisoner, severely crippling Britain's ability to fight the Germans. Churchill is forced to step down a week later, succeeded by Lord Halifax, who would seek peace with Germany.
